Allow me to introduce myself. Vicci Pretorius, all the way from South Africa. I currently reside in a small town hidden between two mountains. 

As early as fifteen years old, I knew I wanted to write. Every school holiday I would while away my time writing one story after another. However, it was only at the very end of my senior year that I changed my original direction of becoming an accountant to becoming a writer. I know - a huge shift. Studying for a BA in Language and Literature specialized in creative writing - I finished my degree in 2011. Since then I've been writing poems and plays. 

Not to worry, I am currently working on my first novel, as well as a short story. My objective is to try every possible form of writing to have a variety of material available for my readers.

 

Besides studying and writing, I also worked as a cashier at a photo print shop, as an assistant at an accountant (told you, didn't I), as a sales person and administrative division of a solar company and finally; I am employed as a general assistant/ lab assistant at a company that sells natural products for humans and animal. I've come a long way, indeed. However, I now managed to self-publish my own e-book.

 

To the question "who am I", I don't really have a clear defined answer. I know people get along with me just fine, in fact, most people even like me. I tend to be a happy and fun kind of person. I always get a kick out of making jokes, funny faces or voices to make other people laugh. Oh yes, I'm also a romantic at heart. Didn't quiet realize it until fairly recently. Who knew right? You will find the evidence in what I write. I really don't like taking photos of myself, so enjoy the once you find here, they will be the last you'll ever see of me. 

Hobbies... I don't really have anything in the line of hobbies. Unless you count my writing until the wee hours of the morning every week day a hobby.

 

I am blessed with my parents, a younger brother and a younger sister. We are a close knit family, but like any family, we have our ups and downs. Included in the family, are my two rabbits and my cat. I have a real soft spot for animals, especially for horses. Other interests of mine will be watching movies, music and reading. The usual things.
